In November 2021, Prof. Laurence J. Kirmayer, social and transcultural psychiatrist from McGill University was present to give a guest lecture entitled "The Use of Cultural Formulation in Clinical Assessment and Treatment Planning". This event takes place online.

The event took place from 08.00 to 14.00 WITA and was opened by the Dean of FK UNUD, Dr. dr. Komang Januartha Putra Pinatih, M.Kes. Prof. Laurence explained the philosophy of psychiatry and the role of transcultural psychiatry in mental health services to supervisors and residents of the Mental Medicine Specialist Study Program, Udayana University/RSUP Prof. IGNG Ngoerah, lecturers, and alumni who took the time to attend.

After Prof. Kirmayer gave a presentation, a discussion was held on the topic. Many participants were residents and fellow psychiatric specialists who asked questions either directly or through the chat column. Through this event it is hoped that participants will be able to increase their understanding of the development of knowledge in the field of cultural psychiatry.
