How Emotional Intelligence Can Help To Cope with Your Work Demands General
Emotional intelligence describes the ability to identify, access and manage the emotions of self, other people and groups. People who have high emotional intelligence understand themselves well and are also able to feel the emotions of other people. The individual is also resilient and optimistic. By developing emotional intelligence, individuals will become more productive and successful in the fields they occupy, and are also able to help others become more productive and successful. The process and outcomes of developing emotional intelligence include elements that reduce stress for individuals and organizations through facilitating conflict, enhancing understanding and relationships, promoting stability and harmony. Many applications of emotional intelligence are also carried out both in terms of selection, training and development and other aspects of human resource management in an organization.
Coming from the desire to understand and apply emotional intelligence in the world of work, the Psychiatry Specialist Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University raised the theme "How Emotional Intelligence Can Help To Cope with Your Work Demands" in this Guest Lecture event. Through guest lectures and seminars in the field of emotional intelligence, it is hoped that the public and working health workers can recognize and develop their emotional intelligence so that the problems they face in the world of work can be solved properly.
This activity takes place from Monday-Wednesday 20-22 June 2022. At the time of the guest lecture, all psychiatric residents of Udayana Faculty of Medicine participated in it and it is open to all people who want to know more about emotional intelligence. The workshop is only intended for educators and psychiatric residents of FK Udayana. During the guest lecture, briefings were given on emotional intelligence and its relation to methods for coping with workload. 200 participants filled the A.A. room. Djelantik FK Udayana.
In addition to listening to the explanation of the guest lecture participants, they can also carry out live question and answer sessions. The workshop was held for 2 days, attended by 50 psychiatric residents of FK Udayana both online and offline. Activities are packaged in an interesting way, starting from group discussions, sharing, mini games, and simulations. All of these activities aim to enable participants to find out about emotions starting from knowing the type of emotion seen from the energy and pleasure that underlies it. Learning to recognize emotions and understand them is very interesting.
